Our Formby charity shop is run by Katie McMahon and her team of volunteers.
This is our smallest charity shop but, due to the high quality of the donations it receives from the local community, it has a big impact and raises lots of money for the hospice.
As a boutique store, our Formby shop sells men’s and women’s clothing, as well as shoes, accessories, books, and bric a brac. Please note, we don't sell children's clothes, toys, or electrical items in this shop.
Meet our Formby Shop Manager
Katie was a primary school teacher in Maghull for 27 years so she’s very creative, enjoys getting to know people, and loves being part of the local community.
She has previously managed other local charity shops and is very proud to be working for St. Joseph’s as she has personal experience of hospice care and the support families receive after her dad was cared for in a hospice.
Since joining the hospice in August 2024, Katie has more than doubled the number of volunteers in the shop, she has improved the layout and feel of the shop, and is now working hard to increase sales in order to raise even more money for the hospice.
