For some festive family fun, and the chance to burn off some pre-Christmas calories, St. Joseph’s Hospice (Jospice) is holding a HO HO Hospice Fun Run (or walk!) on Saturday 17th December at Crosby Lakeside.
The fun kicks of at 12noon and families can walk or run around the 3k route, which takes you all around the picturesque lake.
Why not come dressed as your favourite Christmas character – whether it’s Santa or Rhudolf, an elf or even a character from the nativity – there will be lots of prizes up for grabs!
St. Joseph’s Hospice is the oldest and largest hospice on Merseyside, providing long-term, specialised end of life care for patients with a wide range of life-limiting conditions.
The hospice organises events throughout the year to raise vital funds as it costs £6,500 every day to keep its services running.
Registration for the HO HO Hospice Fun Run costs £10 for adults, £5 for children, or £25 for a family of four and you can register online here.
Laura Smith, community fundraiser at St Joseph’s Hospice, said: “Our HO HO Hospice Fun Run will be a fantastically festive event for the whole family. It’s guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit while supporting the vital work of the hospice at the same time. Please come along and join us.”
