Volunteers and supporters of St. Joseph’s Hospice will be out collecting real Christmas trees from across North Liverpool and Sefton in January to raise important funds for the hospice.
Residents and businesses from Waterloo, Crosby, Thornton, Hightown, Formby, Maghull, Aintree, Bootle, Litherland and Netherton can book their Christmas tree collection online here or call 0151 932 6044.
This year’s charity Christmas tree collection will take place on 13th and 14th January for a suggested minimum donation of £10. Christmas trees can also be taken to the hospice, on Ince Road in Thornton (L23 4UE), over the same weekend for a suggested minimum donation of just £5.
The hospice’s annual Christmas tree collection raises vital funds for the charity and is the most environmentally friendly way to recycle your tree as it will be chipped and used in the hospice grounds.
Maxine Armstrong, head of fundraising and lottery at St. Joseph’s Hospice, said: “We will be collecting trees from a large area so we are appealing to anyone with their own van who would like to volunteer for a few hours over the weekend 13th and 14th January. We will provide hot drinks and bacon rolls to keep you going. It’s always a fun weekend and it’s a great way to kick off the new year as you will be helping to raise money for local hospice care.”

- Please note: Collections are only available in postcode areas L9, L10, L20, L21, L22, L23, L30, L31, L37 and L38.
- Registrations will close on Monday 8th January or earlier if we reach capacity in your postcode area.
