Snowdon Sunrise Trek

Take on our 50th Anniversary Challenge – The Snowdown Sunrise Trek

It’s a wonderful experience seeing the sun rise in the east over Snowdonia, and what better place to be than the summit of Snowdon itself?

And what better way to mark the hospice’s golden anniversary year than to watch the sunrise from the summit of Snowdon…just a few days after the summer solstice!

This is a guided trek through the night so you could be walking under a blanket of stars, or in the mist! Snowdon’s weather is unpredictable and may certainly add to the challenge.

What is involved:

We will be travelling to Llanberis by coach or minibus (cost to be confirmed) on the evening of Saturday 22nd June. On arrival in Llanberis, there will be a full safety briefing and we will be ready to start our challenge at 00.50am.

The guide will lead the group up the track in what will be relative darkness to begin with (so pack a head torch!) As you progress, the twilight will begin to surface and it will get light well before the sun is due to break the horizon. We will reach the summit area in good time for you to relax and enjoy the sunrise.

We will aim to reach the summit of Snowdon by 04:50am on Sunday 23rd June, before descending back down to Llanberis.

Cost:

£30 to be paid directly to Travel & Trek on sign up.

Then, please set up your fundraising page (all the information is provided in the link below) and start fundraising!
